The Area |
Situated
in Potter Heigham, Norfolk Broads Park & Leisure Homes is an
ideal place to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere at the centre
of the boating community for the Broads. The banks of the
River Thurne are lined with waterside bungalows, only
accessible by boat or on foot. From the middle of Thurne
Bridge you have good views of the River, which helps you
understand
the importance of the river to the village. Boat hire began
in the early 20th Century. Potter Heigham became one of the
main starting points for boating holidays on the Norfolk
Broads.
The famous Lathams store is located here as well as a pub,
chip shop, gift shop/ newsagents. The main village of Potter
Heigham is across the A149 and contains a lovely church.
The
site also benefits from close proximity to the Norfolk
Coast, Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Cromer, amongst others.
There really is something for everyone around the Norfolk
Broads, from Museums, Churches, Medieval Bridges, Theatre,
Piers, Beautiful Coastline, Tranquil Boating, Lively Shops,
Pubs, Walks, Zoos, Walled Gardens, Beaches, Golf Courses.
